Getting ready for fall!

If I had to create what the perfect moment for me would be, it would be sitting on the couch with my husband cuddled under a blanket, on a cold fall evening, watching Lord of the Rings and drinking coffee. I think that right there describes everything you need to know about me! While I do love summer time and nice weather, I think fall is my favorite season just because I love wearing cozy sweaters and drinking hot coffee. Fall is the perfect season because the colors are so beautiful with the leaves on the trees changing colors and beginning to fall, and the cool crisp air. I especially love fall in the pacific northwest. I would call myself a true PNW girl and there is no doubt about that. I love everything about living in Washington, and I don’t ever want to leave.

I’ve started getting excited about fall and looking for the perfect fall decor for my home. It is almost the season for mums and I bought myself a bouquet of them this weekend at a local fruit stand. And all the home decor stores have got their fall decor out and I am living for it! Fall needs to come faster. I’m just way to excited about fall!

Fall also means that school is starting up again, and I am about to going into my senior year at Northwest University. My last year of college! It is such a bittersweet thing to think about, because while I despise school, I like the way it keeps me occupied and gives me something to do. I take all my classes online so I get to make my own schedule for the most part, while still having due dates each week on assignments.

Since it is my last year of college I did some back to school shopping. Yes, I’m an online student, but I still needed a new backpack and a cute new outfit! When it comes to buying things I can always come up with a reason to spend money. I’m a great shopper, and I’m pretty sure Kyle resents me for that. Hah! I got myself the cutest sweater from ROOLEE which is one of my FAVORITE online stores right now. I get so many of my clothes from them! It is the cutest shop ever and their clothes are the best quality and so cute! I also got myself a really cute pink Herschel backpack from Urban Outfitters that I am so excited to use!

I have to admit that one of the big reasons I am so excited for fall is that it means it will be colder outside, and since Kyle and I don’t have air conditioning in our apartment it has been a very long and warm summer. I am just excited to be able to sleep at night and not be so warm! I like to sleep with a lot of blankets and that’s not really possible when it is so warm in our apartment. So it is a selfish reason to be excited for fall, but I don’t care because I’m still excited! I am also really excited for fall and all of the new things that are coming up in this next season for Kyle and I because it is the launch of youth services in our church and it will be the first time we are leading this youth ministry together. We have a lot of awesome things to look forward to in this next season, and I can’t wait to see the way we grow on our own and together as well! It is going to be so much fun!
