Happy New Year! Now that it is officially a new year I thought it would be fun if I did a 2019 recap and shared some of my favorite memories from what happened this year. So get ready for lots of pictures!
2019 was a big year for sure, and honestly I don't know how it can get much better! We had one of the craziest snow storms ever, and it lasted like two weeks! I got engaged right in the middle of the storm, on February 9th, and it was one of the most beautiful moments ever! Extremely cold, but beautiful. A day I will never forget, a day that started our journey to forever!
I am a bit of a concert junkie, but the last year or so I didn't get to go to as many concerts so I was pretty bummed. You know when you grow up life get more expensive and concert tickets are harder to justify. But this year I got to go to 2 Switchfoot and Colony House concerts, which were incredible! They were in town for two nights and I went both nights, and honestly those were some of the best concerts I have ever been to. I also got to go to a Ben Rector concert, which was so amazing because he is one of the most talented musicians ever. All of them were amazing, and I hadn't been to a concert in awhile so I had an amazing time.
I planned a wedding in four months, which I'm telling you was amazing and horrible all at the same time. I'm not good at planning, and there were so many details that it drove me crazy. It was so fun to pick my dress and design the invitations with my sister, but there were just so many little details that drove me crazy, but had to get done! Thankful for my family who helped out so much with everything.
But it all turned out perfectly, and I had the most beautiful wedding day. It went exactly as it was planned, the decor exceeded my expectations by a thousand times, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate our love with so many people. A perfect, fairy tale day.
Then we had the most amazing time on our honeymoon! We were in California for a week, and we got to go to Disneyland for 3 days, go to the beach, and just enjoy the fact that we were finally married! A magical time with my most favorite person in the world. Wish I could go back!
Then we moved into our first apartment together, which was so much fun. I love living in my own place where I am in charge of how it looks. It is so much fun decorating! And living with my best friend has been pretty fun too.
I started my senior year of college. Honestly I didn't think I would make it because it has been a long journey to get here. 5 years later and I'm finally in my senior year. It has been such a long hard journey, but I am so glad I am finishing because it makes me feel so much more accomplished. So close to being a college graduate!
Kyle and I became licensed ministers through the Assemblies of God! We are both pastors! This is an awesome step in our journey because it can help us be more successful in our passion for ministry.
Kyle and I have got to make a lot of really fun memories together after being married for the last 5 months, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. 2019 has for sure been so good to me, and I can't wait to see how it only gets better from here!
Cheers to the new year 2020!
