Things I’ve been loving.

Lately I have been trying to come up with a hobby or something to keep me entertained, at least for the summer before school starts back up in the fall and I’m constantly busy. So I am going to share with you some of the things that I have been loving.
Photography. So I’ve gotten into photography a bit as a creative outlet. It has been really fun, but it’s difficult since I don’t have my own camera so I’ve been borrowing my grandpa’s when he doesn’t need it. I am looking to get a new camera so if anyone has any suggestions as to what kind to get I’m willing to listen! Photography is so fun though, because I get to express myself in a different way than normal so I have really been enjoying it.
Here are some of the pictures I’ve been taking.

90’s hair clips. 90’s hair clips are so fun! I have been living through these big hair clips lately and I can’t get enough. I found a pack of 16 hair clips on Amazon for $12 and they have been the best. You can style them so many different ways and I am having so much fun with them! Still trying to figure out how to wear them, but Pinterest has been my friend through it all! I love trying a new style.
Here are a couple ways that I’ve been wearing them.

Decorating my apartment. Living on my own for the first time has been so much fun! I have loved getting to decorate and put together our apartment and make it look nice. It has been awesome being able to make the place my own, and to balance the way that Kyle and I see things. It has been a challenge for sure, but who does’t like a good challenge?
Here are some pictures of the most recent decorating I’ve been doing.

Date night. I love date nights with my husband. We always have the best time together. And where we live is the perfect place for date night in the summer, because we live withing walking distance of so many cute restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, and walking trails. We have so many options for date night and I love it. This last week we celebrated one month of being married so we went to a Thai place for dinner than came home and played battleship. One night we also took a walk and got ice cream.
Here are some pictures from some of our date nights this week.

I wanted to share all of this with you because I believe that it is important to look at the positive side of life always. Life can get crazy and busy and you can feel overwhelmed, but never take for granted the joys of life too. This is something I am trying to remind myself of everyday, and I can’t be the only person who struggles with this.
So whatever may come in life, take time to enjoy the little things and focus on the joys in your life. They are always there.
