Thoughts of an (almost) college graduate

May 9, 2020. Today was supposed to be the day I graduated from college. I’ve looked forward to this day for a long time, and for awhile I didn’t honestly know if I would make it here. I’ve had a pretty long journey in college and I’m so so glad to be so close to the end. While I would have been walking at graduation today, I would still be taking summer classes and not be done until the end of August. In a way not being able to walk today isn’t that bad because this way I get to walk after finishing all my classes. My college has postponed our graduation ceremony to August so I’ll most likely get to walk, if things don’t get too crazy before then still so I am looking forward to that. I’ve been an online student for my whole college career, and I’ve loved it because I love working and it allows me to keep a full time job while being a student as well.
It's weird to think that I am graduating from college, because I figured by this time in my life I'd know what Im doing, but I really don't! I do have some things together now that I'm married, have a good job, and am a licensed pastor. It just still feels like I don't have a real plan and I'm just going through life one day at a time. That's not necessarily bad, I guess I just thought I'd have my life more put together. I'm thankful for where I am in life right now and I look forward to where I go in the future. Life is just a crazy ride that we take one day at a time! I will be graduating from Northwest University with a BA in Ministry Leadership. It has only taken me about 5 years but we are so close! I am grateful for the college journey I’ve had, and I still have just a little ways left to go. In honor of today being graduation day I took some graduation photos so I’ll share them with you! So here’s to one more semester of college and being almost done forever!
